Daryl Mitchell in as New Zealand go with all-pace attack in attempts to level series

Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque decided to field first against New Zealand in the second Test at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The big news for the visitors was that Mushfiqur Rahim missed out due to a groin injury.

Bangladesh, who were already without Mahmudul Hasan Joy, had to hand a debut to left-handed opener Mohammad Naim, with Nurul Hasan coming in to keep wicket.

New Zealand meanwhile picked Daryl Mitchell instead of Rachin Ravindra, to make up an all-pace attack on the green top.

Bangladesh: 1 Shadman Islam, 2 Mohammad Naim, 3 Najmul Hossain Shanto, 4 Mominul Haque (capt), 5 Nurul Hasan (wk), 6 Litton Das, 7 Yasir Ali, 8 Mehidy Hasan, 9 Taskin Ahmed, 10 Ebadot Hossain, 11 Shoriful Islam

New Zealand: 1 Tom Latham (capt), 2 Will Young, 3 Devon Conway, 4 Ross Taylor, 5 Henry Nicholls, 6 Tom Blundell (wk), 7 Daryl Mitchell, 8 Kyle Jamieson, 9 Tim Southee, 10 Neil Wagner, 11 Trent Boult
