Giannis ruled out vs. Rockets with ankle sprain

NBA

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Houston Rockets with a right ankle sprain, the team announced.

Antetokounmpo injured the ankle while trying to Eurostep around Kelly Olynyk, who was called for a personal foul. He collapsed to the ground in pain but was able to take both free throws before checking out of the game.

The Bucks ruled Antetokounmpo out late in the first quarter.

The two-time reigning MVP was listed as probable before Thursday’s game with an ankle injury.
