Messi’s penalty in the 27th minute gave Barca the lead over the Hungarian league champions at Camp Nou, the 16th straight Champions League season in which the Argentina great has scored a goal.

Fati doubled the lead minutes before halftime, the second career Champions League goal for the 17-year old Spain youngster. He becomes the youngest ever to net two goals in the competition.

Coutinho kept up his solid form on the season, scoring his first Champions League goal for Barca since returning from a two-year loan at Bayern Munich.

Ihor Kharatin pulled one back for Ferencvaros on the 70th-minute penalty, following Gerard Pique‘s challenge on Tokmac Chol Nguen. The booking means Pique will miss the upcoming group-stage clash against Juventus.

Pedro Gonzalez gave the hosts the three-goal cushion again when he scored at the 82nd-minute mark. Ousmane Dembele added another at in the closing minutes to finish off the barrage.

Sergino Dest made another start in Barcelona’s defense, becoming the first ever United States international to play for Barca in a Champions League fixture.
