Boxing

Featherweight sensation Michael Conlan returns home to face Diego Alberto Ruiz in a 10-round battle in the main event of a Top Rank on ESPN+ card at Falls Park, Belfast in Northern Ireland on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

Conlan (11-0, 6 KOs) has fought once before in Belfast, a points victory over Adeilson Dos Santos a year ago.

In March, Conlan defeated Ruben Garcia Hernandez by unanimous decision at the Hulu Theater inside Madison Square Garden in New York.

Ruiz (21-2, 10 KOs), of Tucuman, Argentina, has won 10 consecutive fights since a unanimous decision loss to countryman Leonardo Bruno Cicopiedi three years ago.

This is Ruiz’s first fight outside of Argentina. Just two months ago, Ruiz, 25, scored a split decision victory over veteran Luis Emanuel Cusolito.
