Durant to miss Game 2 of Finals for Warriors

NBA

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant will not play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, coach Steve Kerr said Friday.

“Kevin’s not going to play Sunday,” Kerr said at a news conference.

Durant hasn’t played since he injured his right calf during the Western Conference semifinals.

Kerr has said the next step is for Durant to rejoin the Warriors for practice.

“When he’s ready to play, he’ll play, and that’s our approach,” Kerr said.

Kerr also noted that Andre Iguodala underwent an MRI on his left leg on Friday. The coach said he didn’t have the results but noted that Iguodala “seems to be doing well.”
