The New Orleans Pelicans have won the 2019 NBA draft lottery and, more importantly, the Zion Williamson sweepstakes.
The overwhelming favorite to be drafted No. 1 overall and lauded as one of the best NBA prospects since LeBron James, Williamson could change the trajectory of the Pelicans’ franchise for years to come.
New Orleans had a 6 percent chance of winning the lottery.
Memphis Grizzlies will pick No. 2 and the New York Knicks will go third in the 2019 NBA draft on June 20.
