KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Tyreek Hill is heard discussing the police investigation into his son’s injury on a recording of the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver speaking with his fiancé that was played on Kansas City television station KCTV.

The fiancé, Crystal Espinal, is heard on the recording asking Hill at one point, ‘Why did he say daddy did it? Why did he say daddy did it?”

Hill replied: “He says daddy does a lot of things.”

Espinal then says, “A three-year-old is not going to lie about what happened to his arm.”

Later in the recording, Espinal said, “He kept saying ‘Daddy punches me,’ which you do when he starts crying. What do you do? You make him open up his arms and you punch him in the chest. Then if he gets in trouble, you get the belt out.” Hill is heard denying he broke his son’s arm in the recording.

Johnson County prosecutor Steve Howe was given a copy of the tape and told KCTV he is currently reviewing the audio. The NFL did not immediately respond to ESPN’s request for comment. The Chiefs said they had no comment at this time.
