Toss Rajasthan Royals chose to bowl v Mumbai Indians

Rajasthan Royals captain Ajinkya Rahane elected to bowl at the Wankhede Stadium in the afternoon match of Saturday’s double-header. Mumbai Indians are looking to extend a three-match winning streak, having successfully defended targets in two of those three matches before their last-ball thriller over Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday.

Royals are keen to break an early season slump, having won just one of their six matches so far as Ben Stokes could not defend 17 off the final over in a last-ball loss to Chennai Super Kings on Thursday night. Only Royal Challengers Bangalore’s winless run is keeping Royals off the bottom of the table. Stokes was injured on Saturday and made way for England batsman Liam Livingstone, who was making his IPL debut. Royals made two changes as Riyan Parag also made way for K Gowtham, who has gone wicketless in four of five matches so far this season for Royals.

Mumbai made one change as Pollard handed back the reigns to captain Rohit Sharma, who missed Mumbai’s last match with a niggle. Siddhesh Lad was left out to make room for Rohit.
