Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns pulled up lame with less than 10 seconds to go in the fourth quarter of Minnesota’s 135-130 overtime victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
Head coach Ryan Saunders told reporters after the game that Towns will undergo further testing tonight.
The host Timberwolves were up two and trying to dribble out the clock when Towns started hobbling above the 3-point arc with what appeared to be a right knee injury. Towns limped to the bench after a foul.
The center was escorted to the locker room and did not play overtime. He finished with 40 points and 16 rebounds in 37 minutes.
