Davis to appear on LeBron’s show ‘The Shop’

NBA

New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will appear on HBO’s “The Shop with LeBron James,” the cable channel announced Thursday.

The show will air on March 1 and will also include Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown.

James’ team, the Los Angeles Lakers, attempted to acquire Davis before the NBA trade deadline without success.

In December, James said he would like to have Davis as a teammate.

Davis will be eligible for a five-year, $240 million supermax extension on July 1. Only the Pelicans can offer that. The supermax gives New Orleans a one-year exclusive negotiating window and a beefed-up dollars advantage.

Davis can become a free agent in 2020.

The Shop is a collaboration between HBO, James and his business associate Maverick Carter’s company Uninterrupted.
