Lukaku could exit via Inter

Could Romelu Lukaku be about to bid farewell to Manchester United? Well, yes if you believe the rumours being pedalled by Italian outlet tuttomercertoweb. The network report that Lukaku — who has been on the outside looking in as United’s fortunes have soared under new man Ole Gunnar Solskjaer — could be the subject of an “audacious” bid for the Belgian striker should Maruo Icardi decide his future lies away from Inter Milan in the next few months.

Icardi’s future has been the subject of much discussion over the past couple of weeks, with the Argentinian’s wife and agent, Wanda Nara, suggesting that the players future most definitely lies outside of Turin. Icardi was stripped of the Inter captaincy for the club’s Europa Leauge match against Rapid Vienna on Thursday night.

Could Sancho be on his way back to Manchester?

He may have suffered some Champions League pain at the hands of Spurs this week but Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho could soon be experiencing the joy of returning to English football with Manchester United. The Sun reports that the English winger could be in line for a £70 million switch to United in a move that could see Manchester City profit from a 15 percent stake in the player.

Sancho has been in sensational form for the Bundesliga giants since his move from City in the summer of 2017, scoring eight goals so far this season as well as contributing 10 assists from just 28 appearances.

Loan ranger? No chance

Mesut Ozil appears to be digging in his heals at Arsenal — which means his future at the Emirates remains as clear as mud. That’s according to The Sun, which reports that the German is happy living in London. The only problem is that he’s no longer part of Arsenal’s plans and that Gunners manager Unai Emery would do anything to get him off the payroll.

The notoriously difficult Ozil, though, has no intention of jumping ship, regardless of who comes in for him . The Arsenal boss has made it clear that the removal of Ozil from the Arsenal payroll is a priority as the season draws to a close — but Ozil isn’t playing ball. Paris Saint-Germain attempted to sign him on loan after Neymar was ruled out of the rest of the rest of the Ligue 1 season — but Ozil has little desire to ditch his life in North London unless something extraordinary comes up.

For a player earning £350,000 a week, the future remains unclear. Good work if you can get it.

Tap-ins

Jordi Alba is set for a five-year extension at Barcelona, according to Spanish outlet Sport. The 29-year-old’s representatives and Barcelona officials are to discuss terms should the club get past Lyon in its upcoming Champions League tie.

– Noam Emeran has confirmed his switch to Manchester United from French club, Amians. The teenager took to Instagram to welcome his switch to the North West. “Happy and proud to announce my signature in this great club,” he said.
