The Exploding Heads recap Transfer Deadline Day where a few big names were linked with moves, but the day has become a shadow of itself.

Marouane Fellaini has completed his move from Manchester United to Shandong Luneng.

The midfielder finalised his move to the Chinese Super League on Friday and leaves Old Trafford after five-and-a-half years with the club.

A statement issued by United on Friday read: “Everybody at United thanks Marouane for his service and wishes him well for the future.”

Fellaini flew to China on Thursday after United agreed a fee of £10.5 million for the 31-year-old. Sources have told ESPN FC he has penned a three year deal worth around £12.5 million a year after tax.

The Belgium international signed a new two-year contract with United in the summer, but has found opportunities limited following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival as interim manager in December.

He leaves having scored 22 goals in 177 games after his move from Everton in 2013 and helping United lift the FA Cup, League Cup and win the Europa League.
