Source: Wolves’ Jones in boot, out several days

NBA

Minnesota guard Tyus Jones will wear a boot on his sprained left ankle for several days, and his return will be considered day-to-day after that, a league source tells ESPN.

Jones sustained his injury while driving to the basket late in the third quarter of the Timberwolves’ 42-point loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday.

He is averaging 5.4 points and 4.0 assists in his fourth season as a backup point guard with Minnesota. The first-round draft pick from Duke was a three-time Minnesota Associated Press Player of the Year at Apple Valley High School.
