Hornets’ Zeller out 4-6 weeks after hand surgery

Charlotte Hornets center Cody Zeller had surgery Thursday on the third metacarpal of his right hand and was expected to miss four to six weeks, the team announced.

Zeller suffered the fracture during Monday’s game against the Orlando Magic. The 7-footer had 14 points and six rebounds in 24 minutes before leaving in the third quarter.

In 35 games this season (all starts), Zeller is averaging 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks.
