Curry out of November Tests with ankle injury

England flanker Tom Curry will miss the rest of the November internationals after being ruled out with an ankle injury.

Curry limped off shortly after half time in England’s 12-11 win against South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday before leaving the stadium on crutches.

He was accessed by England’s medical team on Monday, with head coach Eddie Jones saying it would be “highly unlikely” that he would feature against New Zealand this weekend.

But the results of the medical assessment were even worse than originally feared, forcing Curry to miss England’s games against Japan and Australia — as well as Saturday’s All Blacks clash.

Courtney Lawes and Manu Tuilagi are expected to be fit after missing the Springboks match due to injury, while Sam Underhill is expected to fill in at No.7.
