Jimmy Butler’s orange dye the latest in series of hair color changes

NBA

Jimmy Butler‘s hair is grabbing headlines — again.

Butler’s affinity for exploring hair styles isn’t new. Though his 2024 media day came and went without much commotion, the Miami Heat star has styled his hair recently in ways ranging from faux locs to ’emo Jimmy.’

His latest tweak, though, ditches the realm of style in favor of hair color.

In early November, Butler’s hair took on a splash of blonde.

Then, a few weeks later, he went red.

Soon enough, Butler was rocking blue.

Most recently? Orange.

While social media was quick to wonder about the changes in color being linked to a subliminal statement about a potential next stop in Butler’s career — sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania that the 35-year-old would be open to a number of potential trade destinations — Butler shot down such speculation.

“I can change my hair to whatever color I want to,” the six-time All-Star said Thursday after Miami’s win over the Toronto Raptors. “There’s no subliminals in my hair. … Orange was the brightest color they had, so that’s what I went with.”

Butler and the Heat will be back in action Monday against the Detroit Pistons.
