Dale Earnhardt Jr. went from appearing on your television set while driving on asphalt every Sunday to appearing on your television set every weekend while wearing a headset.
The 43-year-old former NASCAR Cup series driver retired from racing at the end of the 2017 season, and he debuted in the NBC broadcast booth July 1 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Earnhardt knows something about what it will take if he wants a broadcasting career to last as long as his 21 years on the NASCAR national racing stage.
