Changeup in order of Truck races for 2019

NASCAR

NASCAR will race at the same racetracks in 2019 as it plans to do in 2018 in both its Xfinty Series and newly named Gander Outdoors Truck Series.

But the order of races for the trucks will change, creating a new dynamic for the playoffs in that series.

The November Truck series race date at Texas Motor Speedway moves to the track’s NASCAR weekend in March, meaning the playoff rounds will change.

In 2018, Bristol is the last race of the regular season with the two playoff rounds consisting of Mosport-Las Vegas-Talladega and Martinsville-Texas-Phoenix prior to the season finale at Homestead.

In 2019, Michigan becomes the last race of the regular season with the two playoff rounds consisting of Bristol-Mosport-Las Vegas and Talladega-Martinsville-Phoenix prior to Homestead.

The Eldora Truck series race also has been moved two weeks later and will be on a Thursday instead of a Wednesday. The Aug. 1 race date is prior to the Watkins Glen NASCAR weekend.

Here are the 2019 schedules:
