Lionel Messi was held scoreless again as Inter Miami CF came from behind to beat Panamanian side Sporting San Miguelito 3-1 in a friendly at the Estadio Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez on Sunday.

The Argentina star played for 77 minutes before being substituted.

Adan Hendricks staked the hosts to a surprise lead midway through the first half before Benjamin Cremaschi equalised just before half-time.

Tadeo Allende and Fafà Picault added second-half goals to complete the comeback for Miami and seal another preseason victory.

Miami has won each of its three preseason friendlies under new manager Javier Mascherano, prevailing on penalties in its previous two against Club America and Universatario.

The team will now travel to Honduras to conclude its preseason tour with a match against Olimpia at Olímpico Metropolitano on Saturday.

The defending Supporters’ Shield winners begin MLS regular season play on Feb. 22 against New York City FC, but will play the first leg of a Concacaf Champions Cup match with Sporting Kansas City on Feb. 18 first.
