Spurs’ woes continue with Pape Matar Sarr injury

Football

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt another injury blow manager Ange Postecoglou confirming Pape Matar Sarr will miss the side’s Europa League trip to Hoffenheim on Thursday.

Postecoglou said Pape sustained an injury in Tottenham’s 3-2 defeat to Everton last Sunday.

However, the Spurs boss is hopeful Sarr and Yves Bissouma will be available for the side’s Premier League clash against Leicester on Sunday.

“Pape has a slight knock from the weekend, so he’s out,” Postecoglou said.

“He tried to train [today] but he’s still a bit sore from the weekend. We’re hoping it’s not something that will keep him out for too long, he has a chance for the weekend, but the turn around was too quick.”

Tottenham are without several key first-team players including Dominic Solanke, Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie, among others
