DETROIT — Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs, the NFL’s regular-season touchdown leader, scored the first touchdown of the Lions’ divisional round game against the Washington Commanders off a goal line rush on Saturday night.

On the drive — which were his first four touches of the game — Gibbs rushed for 15 yards, caught a pass for 23 yards, rushed for nine yards around the right end then capped the drive with the touchdown.

Gibbs is now tied for the second-most touchdowns (35) by a player in their first two seasons in NFL history, including playoffs, per ESPN Research.

Gibbs now has four career postseason touchdowns and is up to 21 total touchdowns this season, which are both the most in Lions history.
