Sources: Ex-Southern Miss coach Hall to Tulane

NCAAF

Tulane is set to hire former Southern Miss head coach Will Hall to the coaching staff as the pass game coordinator, sources told ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Thursday.

Hall will also work with the wide receivers alongside current WR coach Carter Sheridan, sources said.

Hall was fired by Southern Miss in October and exited with a 14-30 record over four seasons. He was 7-6 in his second season there, including a bowl win, but went 4-15 after that, prompting the administration to make a change.

He had two strong head-coaching stints at lower levels earlier in his career, as he went 25-11 at West Alabama (2011-13) and 31-9 at West Georgia (2014-16).

He was the offensive coordinator at Tulane in 2019-20 and recruited former star quarterback Michael Pratt there.
