He did not play again during the season. He said Monday that his health is trending in a positive direction and that he’s focused on getting fully healthy and eventually returning to play for the Texans.

“Through God’s grace, I’m blessed to say that I’m currently in remission,” Horton said in a statement released by the Texans. “I am grateful for the love from my family and friends, and support from the Texans organization and my doctors. My next objective is to complete my treatments, then get back to playing the game that I love. Thank you for your prayers and support as I continue this journey.”

The 2023 fourth-round pick out of TCU played in 10 games for the Texans and totaled 13 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 2 quarterback hits.
