Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on the little finger of his left hand.

The team said the surgery was performed Tuesday in New York. He dislocated the finger in Sunday’s 111-106 win over the Charlotte Hornets.

Poeltl, 28, missed 11 games earlier this season with a sprained left ankle.

Poeltl, who is from Austria, is averaging 11.1 points and 8.6 rebounds in 50 games (all starts) this season. He has career averages of 8.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in 538 career games (285 starts) with the Raptors (2016-18, 2023-present) and San Antonio Spurs (2018-23).

All-Star forward Scottie Barnes underwent surgery on his broken left hand Monday. He also is out indefinitely for the Raptors.

At 23-29 and in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, the Raptors currently are out of the playoff picture. They will meet the Suns on Thursday night in Phoenix.
