Sources: No Bengals violations on Burrow injury

NFL

The NFL has determined that the Cincinnati Bengals were in full compliance with the league’s injury report policy when quarterback Joe Burrow suffered his season-ending wrist injury, league sources confirmed to ESPN on Saturday.

Burrow suffered a torn ligament in his right wrist during a Nov. 16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The NFL investigation stemmed from a video the Bengals had posted on social media the day before the game that showed Burrow getting off the team bus wearing what appeared to be a soft cast on his right hand. Burrow had not been listed on the injury report in the week leading up to the game.

Following its investigation, the NFL said there were no violations, sources said, confirming a report by CBS.

Burrow underwent surgery on his wrist Nov. 27 and has been with the team as he begins the recovery process.
