The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed coach Chris Finch to a multiyear extension, the team announced Monday.
Finch’s coaching staff also received extensions.
The Timberwolves were 46-36 this season, Finch’s second as coach, marking the seventh-best single-season record in franchise history. The Timberwolves also led the NBA in points per game (115.9) for the first time in franchise history. Finch’s squad also led the NBA in 3-pointers made (1,211) and turnovers forced (1,339).
Finch has 62 wins in two seasons, which ranks fourth in franchise history. His .504 winning percentage trails only Flip Saunders’ .521 mark.
