Arsenal held on to reach the quarterfinals of the Europa League, 3-2 on aggregate, despite a 1-0 second-leg loss to Olympiakos at the Emirates on Thursday.
Riding three away goals from the first leg, the Gunners’ passage into the next round seemed a formality heading heading into the return leg in London.

The visitors complicated things six minutes after the break when Youssef El Arabi’s shot took a deflection and beat Bernd Leno in the Arsenal goal, but Mikel Arteta’s men absorbed the resulting pressure and booked their place in the last eight.
Olympiakos defender Ousseynou Ba was sent off for a second yellow card in the 82nd minute for a bad foul on Gabriel Martinelli.
The draw for the quarterfinals will be held during a ceremony on March 19.
