Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Collins will not play in Game 1 of the team’s first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night due to left ankle inflammation.
Wenyen Gabriel will start in his place. Collins left the play-in game against Memphis on Saturday with the injury.
A first-round pick out of Gonzaga in 2017, Collins averaged 7.0 points and 6.3 rebounds this season for the Trail Blazers.
