The Chicago White Sox activated shortstop Tim Anderson from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Anderson was sidelined the minimum 10 days because of a groin strain. He is batting .333 with one home run this season.

To make room for Anderson on the roster, the White Sox placed utility man Leury Garcia on the 10-day IL with a sprained left thumb.
