England’s Billy Vunipola set to miss Six Nations

England back-row Billy Vunipola is set to miss the Six Nations after Saracens confirmed he suffered a broken arm during the club’s European Champions Cup victory against Racing 92 on Sunday.

The 27-year-old forward left the field with an injury just six minutes into Saracens’ European Champions Cup match against Racing 92 on Sunday, with the club stating Vunipola will see a consultant over the coming days to determine the full extent of his injury.

Eddie Jones will select his 35-man England squad for the Six Nations on Monday, but the injury will effectively rule Vunipola out of selection.

Vunipola missed the 2018 tournament with a broken arm, with England slumping to a fifth placed finish in his absence. He also missed the first three games of the 2017 campaign with a knee injury.
