Leafs’ Rielly out 8 weeks with fractured foot

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly will be out at least eight weeks due to a fractured foot, the team announced Monday.

Rielly was hurt in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers, and a CT scan confirmed the fracture. Rielly will be placed on injured reserve.

Rielly has has three goals and 24 assists in 46 games this season after putting up 72 points last season.

The Leafs were already without defenseman Jake Muzzin, who is also on IR with a broken foot.
