The Chicago Bears and Eddie Jackson have agreed to a four-year, $58.4 million contract extension that makes him the highest-paid safety in the NFL, according to his agency, SportsTrust Advisors.
The deal, with an average annual value of $14.6 million, includes $33 million in total guarantees.
The 26-year-old Jackson posted 60 tackles, two interceptions and one sack while playing in all 16 games this season.
Jackson, a fourth-round pick by the Bears, becomes the first member of the 2017 draft class to sign an extension.
