Sources: Zabit-Kattar moved to Nov. 9 in Moscow

A highly anticipated featherweight fight between Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar has been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night on Nov. 9 in Moscow, sources told ESPN.

Both sides have agreed to the 145-pound matchup, which was originally supposed to take place on Oct. 18 in Boston, but was postponed due to a Magomedsharipov injury. The UFC Fight Night event will take place at CSKA Arena and air on ESPN+.

It’s an unfortunate change of venue for Kattar (20-3), who fights out of Methuen, Massachusetts. Kattar, who is 4-1 in the UFC, had asked for the Magomedsharipov fight specifically, however, and was willing to forego fighting closer to home to keep it together.

Kattar holds wins over the likes of Andre Fili, Shane Burgos, Chris Fishgold and Ricardo Lamas.

Magomedsharipov (17-1), of Russia, is considered one of the top prospects in the sport. The 28-year-old is 5-0 in the UFC, including a win over veteran Jeremy Stephens in his last outing.

A heavyweight fight between Junior dos Santos and Alexander Volkov is scheduled to headline the UFC Fight Night event.
