TOP STORY: Inter to give Conte pair of reinforcements
Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta is believed to be interested in securing two notable signings for the Italian club, according to Calciomercato.
The outlet reports that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Federico Chiesa are at the top of Marotta’s wish list as they look ahead to the January transfer window and try to give Antonio Conte more options in his squad. The two stars, from Lazio and Fiorentina respectively, have both been linked with possible moves throughout the course of the recent summer transfer window.
Inter put together a tremendous window in which they were able to bring in more than half a dozen new faces as they continue to try and dethrone Juventus as the kings of Serie A.
De Gea to reject Manchester United deal?
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea looks set to reject an improved contract offer to remain at the club, The Sun reports.
The future of the Spaniard has been up in the air for a good few years now, with the ever-present rumour being that La Liga juggernauts Real Madrid would swoop in and sign the shot stopper. Alas, after they signed Thibaut Courtois, it became clear that De Gea would have to look elsewhere in order to secure a move away.
The club are said to have put forward an offer of around £350,000 as talk continues to grow of a potential switch to Juventus, which De Gea appears to be considering more and more with every passing day.
Barca to offer Messi a lifetime contract
The latest speculation surrounding the future of Barcelona sensation Lionel Messi seems to be on the verge of coming to an end.
Mundo Deportivo is reporting that the La Liga champions are gearing up to offer the world’s best footballer a lifetime contract. Barca fans have been concerned as of late that Lionel could leave the Nou Camp after it was revealed that a clause in his current deal could allow for him to depart on a free.
His current contract will expire in 2021, but after mulling over the idea for quite some time, the club is now ready to pull the trigger on a move that could set a fascinating precedent for teams moving forward in their quest to keep their top stars on the books.
