Former Worcester Warriors centre Ben Te’o has signed a short-team deal with French side Toulon.

Te’o was left out of England’s 31-man World Cup squad last week and has signed Toulon until November, to cover the period up until the end of the tournament. He will undergo a medical in Toulon on Friday.

Te’o, 32, made 18 appearances for England after making his debut in 2016. He featured prominently under head coach Eddie Jones during that time and was selected for the Six Nations earlier this year. He also made two appearances for the British & Irish Lions on their tour of New Zealand in 2017.

Te’o left Worcester at the end of last season after making 33 appearances for the Premiership side. He has also played for Irish side Leinster.
