Bournemouth are attempting to finalise a loan fee with Liverpool for Harry Wilson, sources have told ESPN FC.

Talks between the clubs are ongoing ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline, with Eddie Howe keen to work with the 22-year-old forward next season.

When does the transfer window close?

Liverpool want assurances that Wilson will be afforded regular minutes and have not included an obligation to buy in their terms for the temporary deal.

He was still training with the European champions on Monday and while it is not certain that an agreement will be reached, it is very likely. Newcastle and Aston Villa were also interested in the forward, who was stellar for Derby County last season, scoring 15 goals as the team made the Championship playoff final.

Ryan Kent faces a more uncertain future. Leeds United have enquired about the winger all summer, but the club have not come close to a proposal that Liverpool would consider.

The 22-year-old is valued at £10 million and Liverpool would want to add a sell-on clause as well as extras linked to promotion in any deal for him.

Despite losing the influential Kemar Roofe to Anderlecht for £7m, Leeds have not yet firmed up their offer for Kent, who they see as their first-choice replacement.

Rangers remain eager to secure Kent’s services on loan, following an impressive 2018-19 campaign under Steven Gerrard, but ESPN FC understands that Liverpool are not considering that as an option.
