Sources: Bengals sign WR Boyd for 4 more years

NFL

The Cincinnati Bengals are signing wide receiver Tyler Boyd to a four-year, $43 million extension, league sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Boyd, 24, had a breakout season for the Bengals last year, recording his first 1,000-yard season, with 76 receptions for 1,028 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

With teammate A.J. Green missing time with a toe injury, Boyd became Andy Dalton‘s primary receiver for a good part of the season.

A second-round pick out of Pittsburgh, Boyd was entering the final year of his rookie contract, which paid him $787,179 in salary and $374,358 in bonuses in 2018.

He was set to earn $980,769 in salary and $374,358 in bonuses in 2019.
