Boxing

Junior welterweight contender Ohara Davies faces former lightweight world titlist Miguel Vazquez in the main event of a Top Rank on ESPN+ card at the legendary York Hall in London, England on Friday at 3 p.m. ET.

Davies (18-2, 14 KOs) started his career with 15 straight victories, including 2 by stoppage.

Davis, of London, England, was on the fast track to a title opportunity but has lost two of his last five fights, including a decision against Jack Catterall in October.

Vazquez (41-7, 15 KOs) won the IBF lightweight world title in 2010 with an impressive unanimous decision victory over Ji Hoon Kim.

Vazquez, of Guadalajara, Mexico, defended the title six times until losing a controversial split decision to Mickey Bey in 2014. He’s 7-3 since then, including a decision win over Ghislain Maduma in March.
