Free-agent guard Andy Levitre retired after 10 NFL seasons on Tuesday.
Levitre, 32, made the announcement on Instagram and said his NFL career provided him “memories that will last” a lifetime.
“I met my wife while I was playing in Buffalo. I fell in love with the city of Nashville while playing for the Titans. I also had to rush out after my first playoff game with the Falcons to attend the birth of my first child,” he wrote.
Levitre cited injury for his decision to retire. His 2018 season ended after just two games when the Atlanta Falcons placed him on injured reserve with a torn triceps.
He started all 143 games he played in the NFL after the Buffalo Bills selected him in the second round (51st overall) of the 2009 draft. He played four seasons in Buffalo, two with the Tennessee Titans and four with the Falcons.
