The Cincinnati Reds have released Matt Kemp, the team announced Saturday.
Kemp had been on the 10-day IL with a broken rib suffered after crashing into the outfield wall in San Diego last month.
Kemp was slashing .200/.210/.283 with a .493 OPS, all career lows.
His dip in productivity comes after a bounce-back 2018 season in which he hit .290 with 21 home runs and 85 RBIs in his second stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
