Chelsea’s David Luiz meets his doppelganger from Slavia Prague

Football

Chelsea secured themselves safe passage into the semifinals of the Europa League on Thursday night with an entertaining win over Slavia Prague.

Already leading 1-0 from the first leg in the Czech capital, the Blues got their scoring done early to muster a 4-3 win in the second at Stamford Bridge.

On a personal level, it was also an incredibly memorable night for David Luiz, who was reunited with his long lost twin — Slavia midfielder Alex Kral.

The sight of two chaps with heads full of plentiful curls was enough for everybody to crack exactly the same joke after the final whistle.

Very much the human embodiment of the “Spider-Man pointing” meme.

Chelsea will now face Eintracht Frankfurt after the German side saw off Benfica on away goals to make it into the last four of a European competition for the first time since 1980.
