Diego Sanchez, the first Ultimate Fighter winner, is scheduled to meet Michael Chiesa, the 15th Ultimate Fighter winner, on the July 6 card in Las Vegas, according to sources. The fight has been verbally agreed upon by both camps, sources say.
Sanchez (29-11) has won his last two fights in a row. He recently defeated Mickey Gall via second-round TKO.
Chiesa (15-4) was successful in his welterweight debut at UFC 232 when he submitted Carlos Condit in the second round.
The event, which will be headlined by Jon Jones vs.Thiago Santos for the UFC light heavyweight title and Amanda Nunes vs. Holly Holm for the UFC women’s bantamweight title, will take place at T-Mobile Arena.
