Toss Delhi Capitals choose to field v Royal Challengers Bangalore

Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first in the afternoon match at Bengaluru of Sunday’s doubleheader. Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli, wearing green, said he would have done the same had the toss landed his way.

Both teams go into the match unchanged from their last encounter. Kohli showed faith in his bowlers to bounce back from their failure to defend 205 against Kolkata Knight Riders in the face of a rampaging finish from Andre Russell, while Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer backed his batsmen to come good after a subpar total against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last defeat.

Royal Challengers XI: 1 Parthiv Patel (wk), 2 Virat Kohli (capt), 3 AB de Villiers, 4 Marcus Stoinis, 5 Moeen Ali, 6 Akshdeep Nath, 7 Pawan Negi, 8 Navdeep Saini, 9 Tim Southee, 10 Yuzvendra Chahal, 11 Mohammed Siraj

Capitals XI: 1 Prithvi Shaw, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Shreyas Iyer (capt), 4 Rishabh Pant (wk), 5 Rahul Tewatia, 6 Colin Ingram, 7 Chris Morris, 8 Axar Patel, 9 Kagiso Rabada, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Sandeep Lamichhane
