Kash Ali has had his boxing license suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) after he was disqualified for biting opponent David Price on Saturday.

Ali was on the ropes in the fifth round against forming sparring partner Price when he bit the Liverpudlian on the torso after the pair fell to the floor.

Referee Mark Lyson immediately disqualified Ali and bite marks could be seen on Price’s body. Ali (15-1, 7 KOs), 27, will face a BBBoC hearing on April 13.

The heavyweight has reportedly also had his £20,000 purse withheld from the Liverpool show.
