The UFC has signed a Brazilian welterweight who became a viral sensation last month.
Michel Pereira (22-9) has signed a new multifight deal with the promotion, sources told ESPN.
MMAFighting.com first reported the news.
Pereira gained notoriety last month for all the flashy moves he displayed en route to defeating Dae Sung Kim via second-round TKO at Road FC 52. Pereira showed off a wide array of kicks, flips and punches in the fight that garnered a lot of attention online afterward.
According to his management team, Pereira is hoping to debut in the spring and will compete as a welterweight. He has won his past two fights.
