Kyrie sprains right knee, exits Clips-Celts game

NBA

All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving left the Celtics‘ game Saturday night against the LA Clippers in Boston with a right knee sprain and did not return.

Irving appeared to hurt the knee with about five minutes left in the second quarter while attempting to defend Garrett Temple at the top of the key.

He had 14 points in 14 minutes before leaving.

Irving was plagued by a left knee injury last season.
