Orlando Magic rookie center Mo Bamba will miss significant time with a stress fracture in his lower left leg.
Bamba is expected to be able to recover without surgery.
“Thankfully we caught this early and are able to treat Mo (Bamba) without surgery,” Orlando Magic President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman said. “His return to action will depend on how he responds to treatment.”
Bamba was the sixth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Texas.
Bamba has played 47 games for the Magic, averaging 6.2 points, five rebounds and 1.3 blocks for the Magic.
