Pistons center Drummond in concussion protocol

NBA

Detroit Pistons star center Andre Drummond is in the NBA’s concussion protocol and is listed as out for Saturday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

Drummond suffered what was initially believed to be a nasal injury in the first half of Friday’s victory over the Heat and did not return.

But on the NBA’s daily injury report, which was released Saturday afternoon, Drummond was listed in the league’s concussion protocol.

Drummond, 25, is averaging 16.3 points and a league-leading 14.9 rebounds per game this season.
