A light heavyweight matchup between former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes has been officially announced for UFC Fight Night on March 16 in London.
UFC officials announced the 205-pound matchup on Monday. UFC Fight Night will take place at The O2 and air on ESPN+.
Oezdemir (15-3) is looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses to Daniel Cormier and Anthony Smith in 2018. The Swiss light heavyweight surged to title contention behind stoppage wins against Ovince Saint Preux, Misha Cirkunov and Jimi Manuwa, but fell back to earth in his last two appearances.
Reyes (10-0) is one of the most promising contenders in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. The Californian is 4-0 in the UFC, with three first-round finishes.
The UFC has not yet announced a main event for the March 16 card.
