Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon will undergo an MRI on his right knee on Sunday, a league source told ESPN.
Gordon left Saturday night’s victory over New Orleans in the fourth quarter with a bruise. He had scored 21 points in 27 minutes for the Rockets before exiting the court with a limp.
The Rockets have won nine of their past 10 games.
Gordon’s role has been amplified with the absence of Chris Paul, who is expected to minimally miss two more weeks with a hamstring injury.
Gordon, 30, is averaging 15.5 points a game.
